A few photos from the Jawa Villiers renovation in 1932........

Photo story of one fuel tank that went through complete "rejuvenation process" where we needed to exchange big logos too. It was for German fan of this brand.

I am newly able to replace damaged "JAWA" logos with new ones. They can be used on the Special, Villiers and Robot. In some cases, modification using small milling cutters suffices, but only as improvement, not a 100% solution.

On a fuel tank delivered as a semi-finished product, I am able to replace/rework the "JAWA" logo to the "OGAR" logo. The tank is taken to pieces, cleaned, hammered into shape, straightened, the logo area is arranged and the new logo is fitted. The ignition switch is modified to a lower design and the filler neck o-ring is soldered. The tank is then welded and pressure tested.

Another series of chrome-plating for a Jawa Robot.

Other saved Indians. Some tanks only need taking to pieces, hammering, cleaning and general repair, but some have a "starry sky" for long evenings.

Another interesting job from repair, through chrome-plating to painting and line-drawing. The customer had a clear idea of his requirement. Using period photos and his detailed drawing, this great beauty was completed and will serve for further decades.

What made this repair unpleasant was the fact that the tank interior was pour-treated with epoxy, which is very hard to remove. And then the classic job...
