Sad old fuel tank remade to beautiful repaired one

Repaired, reworked to ogar and chrome-plated fuel tank. Usually we copper tanks two times but this one needed to be coppered three times.

On a fuel tank delivered as a semi-finished product, I am able to replace/rework the "JAWA" logo to the "OGAR" logo. The tank is taken to pieces, cleaned, hammered into shape, straightened, the logo area is arranged and the new logo is fitted. The ignition switch is modified to a lower design and the filler neck o-ring is soldered. The tank is then welded and pressure tested.

 

Probably the greatest challenge and most demanding repair of two "Ogar" fuel tanks. One of them was dented on both sides. It was a job for quite a few evenings. The most difficult part was re-shaping the lettering and the side radii. I had to make several special fixtures and finally succeeded. The greatest reward was Mr Tomáš Blažek, a satisfied customer and very pleasant person.

 

Repair of a completely damaged filler neck. Everything tinned with tin and lead in the 60/40 ratio.
