Other saved Indians. Some tanks only need taking to pieces, hammering, cleaning and general repair, but some have a "starry sky" for long evenings.

Repair of a damaged rusty Indian fuel tank.

An Indian fuel tank with the assignment of general repair with maximal preservation of the external patina. We had to manufacture new partitions, re-tin the oil tank area and make 8 new 5/16 bolts. All screw connections, flanges and holes had to be re-tinned. Finally, the tank was pressure tested.

The original barn condition, deformed, rotten, looking like a starry night against the light after opening...

After cleaning, new petrol and oil section partitions are usually made and all holes are tinned.

After mechanical cleaning, there are many new holes emerging that must be tinned.

When both halves are tinned together the tank is pressure-tested and, in most cases, corrected. After final modifications, when I am sure that the tank is not leaking, the inner part is pour-treated with a special compound.
